25-year-old Russian-American violinist, Yelena Mové, has made a name for herself amid New York’s elite entertainment scene with her high energy and charismatic performances. Combining refined classical technique with her love for trance and electronic music, Yelena employs her violin to create an unforgettable live experience at every event. A child prodigy and lifelong student of music, Yelena began studying the violin at age five in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She quickly excelled to the top of her class and at eight years old she and her mother relocated to Brooklyn, New York in search of better opportunities. Yelena quickly immersed herself in the music culture of New York, where she attended the Lucy Moses School, won local competitions and performed at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. After high school, Yelena attended the Manhattan School of Music on a full scholarship where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance. Over the years she has been taught by renowned and decorated musicians including Patinka Kopec, Pinchas Zukerman and Grigory Kalinovsky. She has participated in master classes led by Mikhail Kopelman and Rohan DeSilva, and has performed in orchestras under the direction of Kurt Masur, Kent Tritle, George Manahan and many more. With an extensive repertoire that spans many genres and a life worth of performance experience, Yelena Mové is a rare talent and a natural on any stage.
